The wee man is 1!

Everyone warned me: "It goes so fast." "You blink and they're grown up." "Enjoy this stage while you can!" I heard it from family, friends and a plethora of random women on the street, in restaurants and even in public restrooms. My response: Are you kidding me? The nine months of pregnancy dragged on forevvvvver. There's no way my life is going to go from excruciatingly slow clock-watching to warp speed.

Ladies and gentleman, I have a confession to make: for once in my life I was wrong. (I'll leave some space for your gasps of disbelief here...)

It's been 365 days and it feels like maybe 100 or so. (There were a few long nights in the past year!) In that time span, the wee man has blossomed into a hilarious, inquisitive, kind, snuggly, food-loving, adventure-seeking child. Oh where, oh where has my baby gone?
